Educators are very important to this world and our mission, and we choose our Teaching Artists with care. They are on the front lines of creating empathy in children and opening their eyes to the power within them through live theatre.

Ariana Gonzalez

Actor, writer, creator and mucho más. Ariana is an artist from Venezuela; she’s very passionate about her craft and firmly believes in the power of storytelling. Her mission is to create content that inspires people to follow their passions. She’s honored to be a member of 24th Street and loves performing in Enter Stage Right and teaching in After Cool.
Ariana has a BFA in Performing Arts from AMDA.

Melissa Booey

Melissa is a performer, producer, writer, director and teaching artist. She loves calling 24th Street her home, and also teaches acting and improv to all ages with organizations like SODE, Open Stage, and Theatre 360. She is also a published poet, produces a poetry podcast called Poet's Return, performs and produces with Little Fish Theatre, Shakespeare by the Sea, and Towne Street Theatre, and writes original immersive theatre performed locally.

Bradley Brough

Bradley is a Los Angeles based composer and musician who has been writing and playing piano for more than 25 years. He has written music for many stage productions in both Los Angeles and London as well as assisting to develop arts education programs for distance learning during the pandemic. His previous work with 24th Street theatre includes The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, Enter Stage Right, Staring YOU!, and Las Instrucciones. He is very proud to bring music back to the live theatre for the debut of Rapunzel Alone.

Davitt Felder

Davitt Felder is a musician, actor and writer.  He is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon's School of Drama with a BFA in acting. Last year he finished a three-month run of the musical review of protest music he wrote and performed in called "ROAR, Rock On American Resurrection". Davitt is a lover of California History and so he is always so happy to be a part of 24th St Theatre and its growing place in the LA community's history. He believes in art as a social cause and that teaching and promoting empathy to kids is vital and important in this ever growing age of technology. He puts this into practice in his acting workshops for 24th Street Theatre at schools around California and in his musical Therapy work with Alzheimer's patients. As a musician, he has performed on behalf of Quincy Jones Productions and for Major League Baseball. 

Margot Fitzsimmons

Margot Marie Fitzsimmons is a versatile theater and film director, puppetry artist, producer, and arts educator committed to creating engaging content for young audiences. As the Executive Director of FitzSili Productions, she champions stories from underrepresented communities, celebrating diverse artists and audiences. Her work has been showcased internationally, with performances across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Recently, she debuted her shadow puppet show, “Traveling to Movieland,” at the Magic Lantern Society convention aboard the Queen Mary. Margot has collaborated with master puppeteers globally, and her work with Double Image Theatre Lab has earned Jim Henson grants. She holds degrees in Theater and Spanish (B.A., Dickinson College), Educational Theater (M.A., NYU), and Theater for Young Audiences (MFA, University of Hawaiʻi). In 2016, she was honored with the Winifred Ward Memorial Scholarship for her excellence in children’s theater.

Tony Gatto

Tony Gatto is an L.A. Teaching Artist, Director, Producer, Actor and Coach. He’s taught with Bridge Theatre Project, Center Theatre Group, A Noise Within, The Oakwood School, Chautauqua Institution, The SAG Foundation, LA’s Best, and other organizations and theatres across the country. Through the last 20 years, he’s produced and directed various styles and genres of work, most recently a long run of Stephen Adly Guirgis’ THE MFer WITH THE HAT in L.A. (including Best of LA Fringe award): an Off-Broadway run of Lee Sherman’s UN-RULE-LEE and other world premiere plays like Ovation winner Damon Chua’s 1969 at Theatre/Theater, DRIVE by Emily Dodi at Company Of Angels, DUST by Gregory Phillips, and BROTHER JONES by Garth Stein. Tony believes bringing theater to underserved communities is one the greatest accomplishments of his career so far. Former Artistic Director at Company of Angels Theater and proud member of The Elephant Theater Company.

Christie Coran

Christie Coran is an actor, director, and teaching artist. Regionally, she has worked as an actor with Steppenwolf, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, Peninsula Players, Theatre at the Center, Dune Arts Summer Theatre, the Athenaeum Theatre, Accidental Shakespeare Company, Fox Valley Repertory, and 16th Street Theatre. Internationally, Christie has worked with Far Corners Music Theatre in Costa Rica, and the International Sabaanci Theatre Festival in Turkey. She is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association. As a teaching artist, she has worked with 24th Street Theatre, Writers Theatre, Northlight Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, and others. She holds an MFA in Classical Acting from George Washington University’s Academy for Classical Acting and a BFA in Acting from Northern Illinois University. 

Alex Hogy

Alex Hogy (he/him) is an actor and composer from Sacramento, CA. He studied Chekhov at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York and received his BFA in Acting from AMDA in Los Angeles. Alex has also studied at Berg Studios and The Groundlings. He works regularly in commercials, film, and TV. In 2019, Alex composed a rock opera adaptation of Antigone. Before moving to LA, he served as a campaign director in Sacramento doing educational outreach, membership development, and fundraising for progressive and humanitarian non-profits.

Linda Ravenswood

Linda Ravenswood PhD ABD is a poet and performance artist from Los Angeles. Her work merges Performance Text, Improvisation, Satire, and Memoir. Her work has appeared off Broadway and in over 75 different books, journals, and anthologies. Find the Pushcart Prize nominated Hymnal (Mouthfeel Press) - now in its second printing -  on Amazon.  She was Shortlisted for poet laureate of Los Angeles in 2017.
